Summer Appointments

 

Hello parents! First of all, I am so excited that your child chose band as either first or second choice to begin their middle school journey! I am extremely happy to teach your child how to play an instrument!

There are a few steps that you and your child need to take before the year begins:

 

• You will need to book an appointment for the summer (Select dates in August) so that your child can try-out the various instruments in the band to figure out which one he or she would like to play and which he or she has an aptitude for. Remember, your child does not need to have ANY musical experience prior to this!

• You can schedule an appointment below on this page below (simply click the date you want and time you want). The available dates for the 2019 summer are: July 15th, July 22nd, July 29th, and July 30th. Available times are in 30 minute incraments from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. If for some reason this does not work, please visit the following website to schedule an appointment: https://thornburgbands.simplybook.me/v2/

• After the try-out session, the next step is to rent the instrument as soon as you can. If you wish, you may wait until the school year begins or you may get your instrument as soon as we finish our meeting! I will give you rental information at the meeting.
